Mr. Hortsman recently retired after a long and distinguished career with the White House Historical Association. Before that he was know for being director of non profit preservation societies in Louisville, Kentucky, Kansas City, Missouri, and Savannah, Georgia. He also served as resident of Mount Vernon for seven years. Most recently upon his retirement he entered private practice as a consultant in planning, organization, and preservation, with partners right here In Madison, Georgia
